MEET JESSIE

 

Jessie Laute is one of the UK’s longest-standing and leading breath coaches, with nearly a decade of experience working at the intersection of nervous system regulation, resilience, and performance.

Today, she works with CEOs, founders, and leadership teams to strengthen their capacity to lead under pressure using breathwork and nervous system education as practical tools for sustainable high performance.

Before building her own business, Jessie spent 15 years in the corporate world. In 2015, after experiencing burnout firsthand, she stepped away to reassess the true cost of high performance without regulation. That turning point led her to Brazil to work on social enterprise projects and ultimately to the profound impact of breathwork.

Her connection to this work runs deeper than professional training. At 16, Jessie survived a tragic house fire in which she lost her father. The trauma of that experience was something she had unconsciously carried and stored in her body for years. Through breathwork, she was able to safely access, process, and integrate that deeply rooted trauma freeing herself from the physiological imprint it had left behind.

This personal experience reshaped her understanding of how stress and unresolved experiences are stored in the nervous system and how regulation creates not only healing, but clarity, strength, and expanded capacity.

Jessie has built a thriving business supporting both individuals and organisations. Her dual experience across corporate, entrepreneurial, and facilitation environments gives her grounded insight into the pressures leaders face and the importance of nervous system resilience in demanding roles.

In addition to her advisory and corporate work, Jessie is Co-Director of the School Breathe CIC initiative, bringing breathwork and nervous system education into schools to support students and teachers in managing stress, improving focus, and building emotional resilience from a young age.

She also serves as Chair of the UK Foundation of Transformational Breath®, advocating for professional standards and education within the breathwork field.

With an international presence, Jessie is committed to helping modern leaders regulate stress, expand capacity, and perform at a high level sustainably.

Her work bridges lived experience, science, and embodied practice to ensure leaders don’t simply endure pressure they build resilience within it.

MY APPROACH TO BREATHWORK IS DIFFERENT.

Jessie trained with the Transformational Breath® Foundation, completing her certification through international programmes in Rio de Janeiro, Mexico, the UK and the United States. This global training provided a deep foundation in the physiological, emotional, and neurological impact of breathwork.

Her approach integrates structured breathwork techniques with nervous system education, allowing clients to understand not only how to shift their state, but why it works.

In addition to her breathwork training, Jessie studied coaching through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, (IIN) gaining a broad understanding of behaviour change, lifestyle design, and sustainable habit integration. This enables her to work strategically with leaders to embed regulation practices into demanding professional environments.

Rather than offering surface-level wellbeing tools, Jessie’s work focuses on expanding capacity helping individuals regulate stress, improve clarity, and lead from a grounded, responsive state rather than reactivity.

Her philosophy is simple: sustainable performance begins with nervous system awareness.

As a facilitator and advisor, she equips leaders with practical tools they can use independently, putting the power of regulation back in their hands.

How Can Breathwork Support Me? 

 

When we start to be aware of how we are breathing, we may well notice that we are holding tension and trauma in the body which is constricting our breath and causing us tension unconsciously. If this continued for years, or even a lifetime, which can be common for so many of us, then we can experience discomfort and dis-ease in the body in many forms such as anxiety, digestive issues, insomnia, aches and pains, headaches, high blood pressure, to name just a few. 

If we can bring awareness to how we are breathing and start to breath in a conscious way, we can open up and release any of these restrictions to allow ourselves to live a healthier, happier more vibrant life. 

 

Transformational Breath®

What is Transformational Breath®?

 

Transformational Breath® is a self-healing breathing technique that helps us restore our breath back to it's most natural pattern. 

Have you ever noticed how you are breathing? How about right now, just notice, are you holding your breath? Taking short shallow breaths? Or deeper fuller breaths maybe? Just pause with me now and let's do a quick breath check; place a hand on your heart, another on your lower abdomen, close your eyes and just breathe. In and out, nothing else just breathe. 

What do you notice?  Is it easy to breath deep? Was the hand on your chest moving more than on your abdomen? Or the other way around? Maybe they were moving about the same.  How about the flow of your breath, was there any tightness, any pausing between inhale and exhale?

All I want you to do right now is observe. Just pay attention to your breath. 

What if I told you that most of us only use 20-40% of our whole respiratory system, not even half! So imagine how we could live our lives if we learnt how to open that up to utilise our full breathing system! We can really start to thrive in every area of our lives. 

We hold so much of our emotion in our body which we in turn control through our breath.

This conscious connected breathing practice will help unlock, release and integrate any of this emotion we are carrying around. Opening up our full respiratory system to enable us to live a fuller life. 

 

History

 It has been founded and developed by Dr. Judith Kravitz who first experienced conscious breathwork in the mid-seventies through the breathing practice known as Rebirthing. 

 Today, Transformational Breath® is taught and experienced as a powerful self-healing modality. This technique has expanded beyond Leonard Orr's work and Dr. Stanislav Grof's Holotropic modality. We are a global breathwork success story.

 Judith has integrated various principles from metaphysics, Kundalini Yoga, breath analysis, sound healing, bodymapping plus other healing and spiritual principles into the most therapeutic Breathwork training system known today as Transformational Breath®.

 It works on 3 levels, the Physical, the Mental/Emotional and the Spiritual/Vibrational.

 

Physical

 Practicing Transformational Breath® will open up your whole respiratory system. Taking deep diaphragmatic breaths will release tension in the body, improve oxygen circulation to cells around your body, stimulate your lymphatic system removing toxins and waste from your body leaving you feeling lighter and more energised. Breathing deep and using your diaphragm will also activate your para-sympathetic (rest & digest) system keeping your whole body in a state of calm. 

 

Mental / Emotional

 Do you realise how much you hold on to in terms of unexpressed emotions? Any unexpressed pain, anger, guilt or even joy will remain in the body until you allow it to release. It may be that you haven't felt safe enough to feel and let go of certain experiences, or maybe they are just too painful to revisit and allow to heal. 

 Transformational Breath® will allow you to access and release anything you may be holding on to without speaking, just breathing and feeling. You could access past trauma that you have buried so deep you have forgotten it is even there. But you are still carrying it with you in your unconscious.

 Breathwork is desrcibed as one of the best non-talking therapies available. 

 

Spiritual / Vibrational 

 This can mean different things to each of us, whatever is important to you is completely valid. For some it will be a connection with a religion or faith, for others it could be returning to self or a higher self beginning to really hear that inner guidance and intuition and for others their spirituality is within the science of us and the world we live in began. Which ever is your belief is perfect, breathwork will only help you strengthen your connection to it. 

 When breathing in this conscious way, it will help us to raise our internal vibration and shift out heavy emotions or energies to feel lighter, clearer and more like our true self.  Now before I lose you talking about vibrations, there is science behind this, something called the 'Law of Entrainment'. This basic law of physics teaches us that everything in the universe is made up of particles or waves, vibrating like strings at different frequencies. The Law of Entrainment basically states that when two different frequencies are in the presence of one another, they will always come into resonance with each other; the lower frequency moving up to meet the higher one. When we breathe we are raising our internal frequency, so any lower frequencies stored inside us (heavy/old emotions) will move up and out.
